• We took our time bathing each other, as I wondered if we were going to be like this again, after the war was over. I prayed in my heart that we won this war, and that Audrey remained by my side. We had just made love in the most intense and extremely emotional way I have ever known. I was pretty much still stoned from the beautiful experience.
• I didn't want to believe that we would soon step out of the bathroom, and gird up for battle.
