• Lance waited for her to answer his question. She looked shocked that he knew, surely, she didn’t think that the doctors would not tell him? He was the king. She should have known he would be told.
• “Did I make you speechless? Did you think I won’t find out you are carrying a child?”
• He asked her. He didn’t know why he was being so lenient with her. he should treat her like he would treat any other person who had the mind to steal from him but she looked so weak and fragile that he couldn’t bring himself to keep yelling at her. Her body was shaking when he got close to her. Even though her voice sounded bold, he could feel the fear in her. Maybe he would have believed her if she wasn’t carrying a child but she was pregnant which could only mean that she had a man who must be the one that she had planned with to steal from him.
