• He bent his head low in shame,I could see the victorious smile in Amelia's face.I didn't know hated me to the extent of sleeping with the man I love.
• I feel like my heart is being ripped out,it's gut wrenching like a slap in the face.my lips began to tremble,i could feel my eyes watery.i was lost of words,I covered my mouth with my hands to prevent me from breaking down into tears.
• I ran out of the room immediately,he didn't bother to chase after me.
• MARA'S POV.
• I was surprised to see Nika running out of the room like something was chasing her.she didn't even bother to wait for us.
• I wondered what might have happened to her,I looked at my co maid and we chased after her but it was too late,she ran into her room locking the door behind her.
• I thought she wanted to talk to the king and queen. What happened in the room?What did Amelia do to her?I have never seen Nika acting this way since I began to serve her.
• "My princess"I called, knocking on the door but she didn't open the door.I guess she needed to be alone.
• My heart was not at rest at the thought of something happening to her .She was like a younger sister to me,I didn't like seeing her unhappy.
• She was the kindest of all the princesses,she treated the people that worked under her like human being not the others who sees we maids as slaves especially the first princess.i would rather die than work under princess Amelia.
• People gossiped that she was different and useless since she was not a vampire like everyone but I really think being different is cool if having her character is what it takes to be different.
• I myself am a vampire and I don't see anything cool with being a vampire.we only suck blood from humans and have a long life span.If left to me,I don't want to live long in this cruel world.
• LINDA'S POV.
• I hate that girl,she doesn't deserve to be called a princess since she is not a vampire like everyone.how dare she slap me?An ordinary human slapped me.
• The only thing saving her is status as the princess,if not I would rip her heart out and crush it with my hands.
• But why is she running like she had seen a ghost?I bet Princess Amelia did something to her.hahaha,serves her right.

• NIKA'S POV.
• This was the day I really knew what heartbreak was,I had given my heart to Raphael and he broke it without even thinking twice.
• Of all people he could cheat with,why did my sister Amelia?.i felt insulted.I really love Raphael with all my heart but I will never forgive him for this.i promise.
• I pulled myself together,this was not the time to cry,I wiped my tears and walked out of the room.
• Mara was looking at me with concern,I ignored them and started to walk towards the throne room with my maids walking behind me trying to catch up with me.
• The servants announced my presence and I walked in without waiting for them to tell me what the king's reply was or not.
• Everyone's gaze landed on me.
• He was having a meeting with the royal council when I walked in. He was seated on the throne with the queen beside him.he was surprised to see me judging from how he looked at me.
• "Greetings your majesty"I greeted,we were formal with each other when we were not alone.
• "What have you been learning all this while as the princess, weren't you taught that you should wait for the king's reply before you come in"the prime minister voices out.
• My dad cast him a glare and he didn't speak further.
• "What brings you here, princess Andronika?"my father asked me.
• "I have something important to discuss with you"I replied and he waved his hand and everyone left except the queen.
• "Speak"he ordered and I began to narrate my experience with Amelia and Raphael to him.
• When I was done,I was expecting to see a look of surprise on his face but he remained calm.my mother was no exception too.
• "You are not saying anything about this"I said to him when I couldn't stand their silence Anymore.
• "She is still your sister,I will rebuke her for bringing a man into her room if that is what you want"he replied and I stared at him in awe.
• "Dad!!!!"
• "Is this the only thing you have to say?my sister cheated with my too be husband on the day of our engagement ceremony and this is what you have to say"
• "Nika,calm down and stop acting like a child,do you think it is right for you to get married before your sisters?"my mum said to me.
• "As you can see,your father doesn't have an heir to the throne and the man who will succeed him is one of his daughter's husband's meaning that his daughter will become the queen and her husband the king and that should be your elder sister Amelia"my mother said to me.
• I hoped it was not what I was thinking but I didn't want to believe it.
• "How does that concern Raphael,there are many princes out there who will be willing to marry Big sister Amelia, Raphael is not even a prince"I voice out my thoughts.
• "That's actually where the problem is,we can't just let a prince of another country to become the heir to the throne of our land,this is the only vampire kingdom in this continent,we can't allow another being to be our king,our future king must be a vampire and the only one fit enough to be the heir to the throne is the grand Duke first son and that is Raphael"
• I felt tears rolling down my cheeks.
• "Why Raphael?he is not the only son of the grand Duke, what about Roman his brother, can't he become the king?you all know I love Raphael so much and you did this to me"
• "Pull yourself together Nika,we understand how you feel,this has already been discussed by the royal cabinet,this is not actually our decision,they chose Raphael because Raphael has more qualities to be the king than His brother Roman"my mother said to me.
• I looked at my father in tears.
• "I am sorry Nika for not telling you earlier, you will find a better man in the future and you know it"my father said to me.
• I wanted justice for the betrayal of Amelia and Raphael and this is what they are saying.
• "I want Amelia and Raphael to face disciplinary actions for what they did"I stated.
• I wasn't going down without a fight,I was not listening to what they had to say.the only thing I know is that I was betrayed and I seek justice.
• "Can you listen to yourself Nika, Amelia didn't commit a crime besides they are getting engaged today"my mum said to me and my world crumbled.
• All this while I have been preparing for the engagement ceremony of Amelia and Raphael without knowing it.i was fooled by the man I loved and my family.
• I didn't know what to feel anymore,anger for being fooled by everyone or sad because Raphael cheated on me.
• I went away from the throne room in anger and tears were clouding in my eyes.I needed to do something to ward off the pain.
• On my way to my room,I met Raphael on the way.he looked away when he saw me,I felt a sharp pain in my heart,I ignored him and walked to my room.
• I fell down on my knees and let the tears pour down.he must be Happy that he would be the next king.Deep down inside me,I needed an explanation for what happened from him.
• "What's actually going on,you can talk to me if you need a listening ear?"Mara said to me.
• "The shattering of the heart when broken is the loudest quiet ever,I want to be left alone"I said to her.
• "I can't leave you alone like this Nika,I am afraid I will disobey your orders but you can punish me later"she said to me.
• "No matter what you are passing through,I want to know that you have someone who cares about you,I want to know that you are not alone"she said to me and tears rolled down my cheeks uncontrollably.
• "I am so heartbroken, Mara,I don't know what to do,"I said to her.
• "Everything is going to be okay in the end,if it's not okay,then it's not the end,"she said to me, hugging me.

• NIKA'S POV.
• The next day I woke up very late in the morning feeling headache,I knew I will be reprimanded by the queen for waking up this late but I don't care.
• Everything that happened yesterday popped into my head and I could feel tears clouding up again in my eyes.
• The engagement ceremony between Raphael and Amelia had taken place yesterday,I didn't attend the ceremony.i was still heartbroken because of everything that happened.
• Mara had consoled me when she found out about what was happening,I had cried throughout the night and my eyes was swollen.
• I took my bathe and the maid helped dressed me up as usual.i was moody.
• "Are you okay?"Mara asked me with a concern voice.
• "Yes I am, don't worry about me"I said sipping the tea she gave me.
• "You didn't go to breakfast today,you have to eat something"Mara said to me.
• "I don't have appetite"I replied her.
• MARA'S POV.
• I was really worried about princess Nika,I didn't know what was going on yesterday,I even thought the ceremony was for Lord Raphael and princess Nika but to my utmost surprise, it was for Lord Raphael and Princess Amelia.
• I was heartbroken when I found out what was happening,I knew my princess would be feeling so sad,I understand her plight.she was so much in love with Raphael ever since she was young.
• My hatred for Amelia grew more.i don't understand why the king and queen would agree to this.Princess Nika was their daughter too.
• NIKA'S POV.
• I was sipping my tea when my other maid by name Lucia came in.
• "The king's guard is here to see you"she announced.
• "Let him in"I said to her and she went away bringing the guard in.
• "Greetings your highness"he greeted.
• "What do you bring?"I asked.
• "A message from the king,your presence is needed in the throne room"he said to me.
• I Wondered why the king wants to see me,is it because of my neglect to my duties as a princess this morning.
• I followed the guard out of my room with my maids following behind me.
• In the throne room,the only people there was my father,my mother and few royal cabinet members.
• I greeted them.
• "I called you here to discuss something very important with you, let me go straight to the point"he began.
• One thing I liked about my father was that he was always going straight to the point, doesn't play with words.
• "As you know we were not in good terms with the werewolves kingdom but we have decided to make peace because of the rise of the Alpha king,we vampires were the cause of our long enemity with the werewolves, and he is conquering his kingdom enemy kingdoms and we don't want war to happen between us and them,they are getting more powerful as the day goes by"
• I was wondering how it concerned me but I don't want to interrupt him till he finishes his story.
• "The Alpha king has accepted our proposal but on one condition,we will give him our last princess for exchange,you will spend a night with him"
• I couldn't believe my ears,things won't stop happening this days in my life but this was not a time to let my emotions control me"
• "I refuse this,I am not a whore"I voiced out
• "This is not a request,this is the Kings order and you have to obey it"my father said to me with authority.this was the first time he was talking to me in this manner.
• Sometimes I wonder whether I am really their daughter,I felt anger rising inside of me.this was the height of it.i can't allow my parents to make decisions for me anymore.
• "You all can go to hell"I shouted and walked away angrily stomping my feet on the ground.murmurs filled the throne room.
• "So disrespectful"I could hear the voice of my mother.
• I went to my room and locked it behind me.i held my head.how could they do this to me?am I really their daughter?
• Sending me to the alpha king was the same as telling me to go and die.this incident was enough reason to tell me that they don't love me.

• A handsome man of well built body was standing on top of the roof of a tower sipping his wine slowly,he was emitting a cold aura.
• He could hear the sound of footsteps approaching him.he knew who it was from the scent of the person.it was Oscar Agrippa his beta.
• "Is everything set?"he asked with a voice that will make someone to tremble.
• "Yes, Alpha"Oscar replied.
• He didn't talk again,Oscar knew he had to leave,the man backing him was a man of few words.
• This man was Regaleon de Leon the Alpha king of Northcrest kingdom.
• Flashes of images of the girl he met the other day during his stay in Carven Kingdom appeared in his mind.since he met her,he couldn't stop thinking about her,he didn't know why he was attracted to her.he had investigated about her and he found out that her name was Andronika the last princess of Carvern kingdom.
• His lips curved into a smile,he couldn't wait to have her.
