• A night with the alpha king

• It was nearly midnight and the night sky was picturesque.
• The moon was glowing yellowy white,loomed large, surrounded by an ethereal glow.the moon shined like a delivery claw in the night sky.
• I could hear clearly the sound of my footsteps when I was running in the woods.i was running so fast as my feet could carry me but it seemed like I wasn't trying at all,I tripped upon a rock and I fell down, blood gushing out of my little feet.
• I looked at the wolf above me,it was baring its teeth at me.I didn't want to admit it but I was scared for the first time in my life.
• who would have thought that I would have ended up in this situation.i shouldn't have sneaked out of the castle.I closed my eyes and said my last prayers waiting for the wolf to eat me but nothing happened.
• I felt a thick liquid splash on me and I opened my eyes immediately to see the wolf dead on the ground and a handsome man standing before me.
• My heart skipped a beat,I have never seen anyone handsome as him before.His height was quite intimidating to me,I could see myself drowning in his sea blue eyes which stared intently at me.
• There was something different about this man,he was exhibiting a cold aura.I felt like he was more dangerous than the wolf that was chasing me earlier but I felt comfortable around him.I was attracted to him.
• I felt the sudden urge to touch him.I walked towards him and held him.
• "Thank you for saving me"I said to him but he swatted my hands away immediately.
• "Don't wander around in the dark"he said to me before disappearing like a flash.I was hurt,I didn't even get the chance to ask him his name.
• "He is weird"I said to no one in particular before returning to the castle.
• As soon as I stepped foot into the castle,I could see my mother staring at me like she wanted to skin me alive.
• "Nika"where are you coming from and why is your dress like this,I don't understand why you won't obey simple instructions,why did you do this to your dress.
• Before I could say anything,a slap landed on my cheeks making tears roll down my cheeks.
• "I don't want you to disgrace this family today"she said to me.
• "Nicole"she called a maid that was passing by.
• "Yes,your highness,"the maid greeted.
• "I want you to clean Nika up before the guests arrive,"she said before leaving.
• The maid took me to my room and cleaned me up.
• "You look so beautiful, princess"she said to me but ignored her.I needed some time alone.
• "You can leave now"I said to her.
• I started to cry after the maid left,the thing that hurt me the most was being scolded by my family.
• THE NEXT DAY
• NIKA'S POV.
• The day dawned crisp and clear,the sun poured through my window.Another day had dawned bringing it with its new hope and aspirations.the light of dawn seeped into my room and I got up sluggishly.
• As a princess,I had rules set out to follow,I didn't wake up anytime I deemed fit.people looked up to me so I wasn't raised to behave anyhow I want.
• My name is Andronika Arrington the last daughter of Lawrence and Elizabeth Arrington the king and queen of Carven Kingdom, a very powerful vampire Kingdom.
• I am eighteen years old.Since my whole life,I have wanted nothing but love and peace from my family.
• I was the last princess but I was treated differently from my sister's.I could feel it. Sometimes I feel like I don't belong but my father manages to make me feel loved.he was my favorite although we didn't spend time with each other like that.he was always busy performing his royal duties.
• My mother doesn't hide her attitude towards me. I stopped thinking about it the day I realized that I was totally different,that was when I was twelve years old,I was neither a vampire nor a werewolf.I was just a mere human with no abilities.
• People gossiped about me but they didn't tell me in the face because I was a princess.i didn't want to feel useless so I embarked on a mission to train myself into a strong woman,I was friends with Raphael the son of the grand Duke,I told him about my thoughts and he agreed to help me.i usually sneak out of the castle to train with Raphael,his master was the one training us then,he decided to keep it a secret too,I also learnt how to ride a horse.
• What I was doing was not right for a princess but I didn't care,I wanted to be strong.i was the strongest of all my sister's and no one was aware of that.
• I have managed to grow into a beautiful strong woman,I didn't feel useless.i was satisfied with myself.
• I didn't care if my sisters were vampiress,the truth was that I don't see any special thing about vampires.they were just blood sucking demons,the only thing special about them is their long life span and good hearing ability and their ability to compel people but most people drink elixirs now to avoid being compelled.
• Talking about my sister's,I had three sisters but I was not on good terms with them. They are jealous of me because they think I am more pretty and attractive than them.
• All the princes that they met at the ball tend to chase after me when they see me.i really want to be on good terms with my sister but I can't chase after people who made it obvious that they don't like me.
• I got up from the bed and removed my nightgown,I went straight to the bathroom,the maids assigned to me had already prepared a hot bath for me.
• I stepped into the water filled with roses,the temperature of the water was perfect,it helped in calming down my nerves,I closed my eyes and inhaled the refreshing smell of roses.
• The maids helped in bathing me,I didn't like it but I had no choice,it was one of the rules I had to follow as a princess.
• Soon I was done bathing,I dried my body and they helped in dressing me.I loved the gown,it was a blue ball gown which was adorned with floral design.
• I stared at myself in the mirror,I looked so beautiful in the gown.the maid helped to make my hair into a Sansa Stark hairstyle.
• After they were done with dressing me up,I was satisfied with my appearance as I stared into the mirror.
• Today was a great day for me,it was the day I have been waiting for.today is the engagement ceremony between me and Raphael.my cheeks went very red at the thought of Raphael.he was the love of my life and I am so glad that I will be spending the rest of my life with the man I love.
• "You are so beautiful, your highness,I know that Lord Raphael won't take his eyes off you,"Mara,one of the maids, said to me.
• She was closer to me than the other maid.she was like a sister to me,she was assigned to me when I was little,she was a teenager then.
• I smiled at her."I know"
• "Let's go,"I said to the two maids.
• "Yes your highness"they replied, opening the door for me.
• After going for the morning prayers,I decided to take a walk with my two maids walking behind me.
• My skin was glowing under the morning sun,I knew I was beautiful but I was not prideful.
• When I was done admiring the beauty of nature,I decided to go to the royal dining room for breakfast.
• I was on my way when I met my elder sister Amelia.
• My maids greeted her,I bowed my head in respect to her as the first princess.
• "How was your morning?"she asked me.
• I was surprised,the Amelia I know was cruel to me,was she acting kind towards me for the sake of public notice but there was no one to do it for.i decided to wave the thought away from my mind.
• "It was good,"I replied.
• "Let's go in"she said walking inside the royal dining room with her troop of maids behind her.
• Sometimes I wonder why there is a need for all those maids to be following her around.I was content with the two I had.
• I followed suite after she had gone in, everyone was already settled in the royal dining room.
• I greeted my parents and took a seat beside Mabel the second princess.
• We ate in silence,it was not advisable to talk while eating.
• "I see you are already dressed up already"my dad said to me after we were done eating.
• My sister's ignored us and walked away.
• "Yes dad"I replied to him,my mum didn't say Anything to me.i was waiting for my dad to dismiss me,it was not advisable to walk out on a king if he didn't dismiss you.
• "You can go now,I want to discuss something with your mother"he said to me and I bowed leaving them alone.

• Later in the day,I was very worried because I haven't seen Raphael yet.who knows what might have happened?he should be here by now,very soon,the ceremony will begin.
• I was pacing up and down the room.
• "What is the problem, your highness?"Mara asked me.
• "I don't know why Raphael isn't here yet,"I replied.
• "Calm down,my lady,he will surely come,"Mara said to me.
• "Am I being worried for no reason?"I thought to myself.
• There was a knock on the door interrupting my thoughts.
• "Come in,"I said aloud.
