• Jayce looked coldly at Jack and said, "If you're not going to let me treat him, then are you going to do it instead?"
• Jack snorted. "The patient is elderly, and the risks of surgery are extremely high. There's an 80 percent chance he'll die on the operating table. I can't take on that responsibility."
• Jayce sneered. "So, you won't let me treat him, but you won't treat him either. Does that mean you're just going to let him die?"
