This only confused everyone more as Sean's demeanor toward Lucian was too outrageous to them. In all honesty, they bided their time just to exile Lucian from their family as part of their revenge. They wanted to humiliate him, but Sean's sudden appearance completely destroyed all of that. Chester was unable to accept this. He could not accept the fact that all of his hard work in planning everything would go to waste if Lucian actually knew Sean. Being in denial, he decided that it was impossible for anyone like Lucian to know who Sean was and all of this was nothing more than a misunderstanding.
