Chapter 962 Like Lambs To The Slaughter

  • It was a slaughter waiting to happen—five against a swarm of predators, outnumbered and outmatched from every angle. Only one thing gave them the slightest edge: Adam still had Caesar in a chokehold, his grip like welded iron.
  • That didn't stop the assault. A cluster of attackers swarmed him, fists hammering into his ribs and back. Two of them targeted his arms directly, their heavy boots crashing down in brutal, bone-rattling stomps meant to force him to release. However, Adam didn't yield an inch. His hands stayed clamped like a vice, knuckles white, fingers biting into Caesar's neck as if he could carve his defiance straight into the man's flesh.
  • Agony tore through his arm, sharp enough to make his vision blur. He couldn't tell if the bone was cracked or shattered—only that he was running out of strength fast. His voice came out like steel scraping stone. "Stand down… or I snap his neck right here!"
