A hulking iron door sealed the entrance, and above it, a few square windows—each about a meter across—were set high into the walls. Their intact panes let in thin shafts of sunlight, casting faint beams across the interior.
- The space inside was vast and bare, the floor coated in dust so thick it muffled their footsteps. Each step sent dust swirling—thick and dry—turning every breath into a struggle. Along one wall sat a heap of old straw, rustling faintly.
