Chapter 6 Let's See Who Dares to Force Her!
- Leon quickly pulled out his phone and tried to call Yamila, but her phone was off.
- Frowning, he hesitated for a moment before dialling Nova's number.
- This mess started because of Nova, but right now, he had no other options. If he wanted to reach Yamila, he had to go through the Simpsons.
- When the call connected, Nova's cold voice came through.
- "Leon! Why won't you leave me alone? Why are you still bothering me?"
- Leon quickly said, "I'm not trying to pester you. Just have your sister call me back! It's really urgent!"
- He knew he couldn't explain the situation over the phone because if he did, Nova definitely wouldn't pass the message to Yamila.
- Nova snorted. "My sister doesn't have time. She's getting married to Mr. Samuel tomorrow. Why would she call you?"
- "What?!" Leon felt like he'd been struck by lightning. His expression changed drastically. "No way! Mila wouldn't marry Samuel. You guys must be forcing her!"
- Nova laughed coldly. "You really think too highly of yourself. If she doesn't marry Mr. Samuel, is she supposed to marry a poor guy like you? Enough! Stop calling me. I'm going to block your number!"
- With that, Nova hung up.
- Leon, fuming with anger, tried calling again, only to find that Nova had already blocked him.
- His expression turned extremely grim. How can Yamila marry that rich second-generation heir? We clearly have feelings for each other! There's no way Yamila is doing this willingly!
- Gritting his teeth, Leon said, "Tomorrow morning, you guys are coming with me to the Simpsons residence!"
- The bodyguards nodded. "Yes, sir!"
- ...
- Early the next morning, a line of cars was parked in front of the Simpsons's house.
- Because the Simpsons and Collinses were under economic sanctions, their relatives and friends had mostly stopped visiting, so the wedding wasn't very grand.
- Yamila came out wearing a traditional wedding dress with a complicated expression.
- Despite the bustling scene, she didn't feel any happiness.
- Her mind was filled with memories of the past ten years with Leon. Even though they could only meet once a month, those moments were irreplaceable.
- The thought of Samuel's behaviour made Yamila feel disgusted.
- Nova said, "Yamila, everyone's here. Let's get in the car. There are no guests, so let's skip all the formalities."
- Suddenly, Yamila took a step back, looking uneasy.
- "I ... I don't want to get married."
- Emery, the Old Mrs. Simpson, and Lillian immediately frowned. "Mila, what nonsense are you talking about? The wedding car is already at the door. You can't change your mind now. Get in the car quickly!"
- Yamila suddenly began to struggle. "No, Grandma. I won't marry!"
- Seeing Yamila arguing with Emery, Nova flew into a rage. She stepped forward and slapped Yamila across the face.
- There was a sharp sound, and a clear handprint appeared on Yamila's cheek.
- "How dare you lay a hand on Grandma!?"
- Yamila sat on the ground, tears streaming down her face uncontrollably.
- "I don't want to marry, I don't want to marry ... " Yamila had agreed in a moment of anger towards Leon, but now she deeply regretted it.
- Lillian stared wide-eyed and said, "Yamila, whether you want to marry or not, today you should marry him!"
- Just then, a man's voice came from outside the door. "If Mila doesn't want to marry, I'd like to see who dares to force her!"
- As the voice fell, everyone turned to look in its direction.
- They saw a familiar figure standing at the entrance of the Simpsons's gate.
- Leon's figure was all too familiar to them, as if they could smell a hint of poverty from him even from afar.
- He always wore that worn-out, faded piece of clothing and carried a patched-up bundle on his back, making him starkly different from the well-dressed Simpsons.
- But what was different today was that behind Leon stood eight men in black.
- Dressed in suits and sunglasses, they stood with their hands behind their backs, emanating a chilling aura.
- Each of them was over six feet tall, with broad shoulders and a sturdy build, looking like mountains and giving off a strong sense of intimidation.
- As they entered the courtyard, the eight men formed a line, all with their right hands tucked into their suits, moving in perfect sync.
- The Simpsons immediately frowned. How could Leon have the nerve to come back?
- Emery scowled and said, "Leon, how come you've got the guts to come back here?
- "As you can see, today's Mila's big day, her wedding day. This is the betrothal gift from the Collinses. Any one of these things is wealth you could only dream of having in your life. You're not even close to being on the same level as our Simpsons."
- "Sure, you've been delivering medicine to us for ten years, but we've paid you for it too. We're even, so just scram!"
- Emery's words were harsh, but Leon was ready for them.
- Whether the Simpsons appreciated him or not, Leon didn't care.
- But seeing the handprint on Yamila's face, his expression darkened. "Who slapped Mila?"
- Yamila kept her head down, biting her lip. The slap Nova gave her moments ago still stung, leaving a burning sensation.
- After Leon spoke, everyone fell silent.
- Leon raised his voice, shouting angrily, "I'm asking who hit Mila?!"
- Nova stepped forward, chest out, hands on hips. "I did. So what?
- "Who gave you the guts to speak like this on our turf?
- "When did it become your turn to butt in when the Simpsons are discussing matters, you poor boy?"
- Nova stood in front of Leon, looking down on him, and pointed her finger at his nose as she spoke.
- Suddenly, Leon swung his hand.
- Slap!
- A fierce slap landed on Nova's face.
- Instantly, the whole courtyard fell silent!
- No one had expected that a poor boy raised in the mountains would dare to lay hands on Nova!
- Nova fell to the ground, spitting out blood, her face swollen like a bun.
- Feeling like her teeth had loosened a bit, Nova's face twisted in fury as she cursed loudly, "Leon! I'll f*cking kill you!"
- However, just as Nova was about to stand up and confront Leon, the eight men in black beside him rushed forward, reaching into their pockets.
- They moved in perfect unison!
- Eight dark gun barrels were pointed at Nova.
- No one had expected that these black-clad men would pull out guns!
- Nova had always been the queen bee in her own world, but she'd never faced anything like this before.
- Looking at the dark gun barrels before her, a foul smell filled the air.
- Nova felt a warm sensation in her pants, realising she had wet herself out of fear!
- "Who ... Who the hell are you guys? Leon! What are you trying to do?!"
- Emery was also quite shaken. After all, Leon was just a poor country kid. How did he manage to pull this off?
- Why would these men obey him?
- Leon said coldly, "No one can force Mila to do anything she doesn't want to do!"
- Emery gritted her teeth in anger. "Do you think you're so great?
- "Today is the joyous occasion of the Collinses welcoming Yamila. With you causing trouble like this, do you think the Collinses will let you off the hook?"
