She wasn’t sure how long she stood there and looked at the door he’d closed. She slowly ran her fingertips over her lips. Oh yes, you do other things very well, Mr. Blaine. She let out a slow breath. Well wasn’t that perfect, to kiss like that and then walk out the door without looking back. All this time you’ve been fighting with him you could have been spending it doing much more interesting things you silly twit. She sighed and then smirked, okay with healing and recovering, probably not, most men prefer a woman that was able to move and participate. And she would be participating when she got her hands on him again!
She grinned and shook her head. Worse than some animal in heat, aren’t you? Sighing, she walked to the kitchen. Looking down at her hand she saw the blood under her fingernails. That whole scene didn’t make her feel good about his leaving. Destination? Unknown. Return date? Undetermined. She turned on the tap and put her hand under it. You had better bring yourself back here in one piece, Detective Blaine or you’ll be getting more than a rise of my temper.
She shook her head as she dried her hands. So now what was she supposed to do to fill the rest of the day until Cora and Dade got here?
