Chapter 3 I'm Yelena
- "Ahh!"
- I screamed and my eyes jolted open.
- It was so bright and I realised that my surroundings were familiar.
- Then, I noticed that everything was a dream.
- Dream? What dream?
- My mind went blank for a second. I couldn't recall everything that happened after the party.
- I felt like I had forgotten something important!
- I shook my head and got out of bed to freshen up. But as soon as I stood, a sharp pain between my legs almost made me collapse.
- I sat back down on my bed.
- My heart sank.
- What happened to me?
- Did someone drug and assault me at the party?
- How did I get back to the dorm? Was it someone I knew?
- Suddenly, the alarm rang, it was already 10 AM!
- "Shit! I have Mr. Dex's class today!"
- I hurried into the bathroom, washed up quickly, grabbed my books, and ran to the classroom.
- The bald professor was lecturing passionately as I spaced out.
- What did I dream about last night? Why did my memory suddenly become so fuzzy?
- I felt like I was forgetting something important.
- "Ms. Adams! Ms. Adams!" On the podium, Mr. Dex looked at me disapprovingly.
- "Yes!" I stood up in a panic.
- Laughter erupted around me.
- "It seems that you're very confident in this topic. Please come up here and answer my question."
- "Yes, Mr. Dex … " I flushed in embarrassment as I made my way to the front. Everyone's gaze was on me when I nervously solved the math problem.
- "Your answer is right." Mr. Dex nodded, expressionless.
- Some students whistled, others booed.
- …
- After enduring the dreadful morning classes, I immediately ran back to the dorm and collapsed onto the bed.
- I'm so tired.
- Why am I so tired? I slept well last night.
- I was getting more confused and exhausted. Soon, I fell asleep.
- Knock! Knock! Knock!
- In my dream, someone was knocking on my door urgently.
- "Who's there?" I opened my eyes groggily.
- "Samantha, it's me, Yelena."
- I got wide awake immediately! A chill ran down my spine.
- Yelena, who committed suicide two days ago, is knocking on my door at midnight?
- I broke out in a cold sweat.
- "Stop joking around." I tried to keep my voice from trembling, "Who are you?"
- After a moment of silence, the voice spoke again.
- "Samantha, it's me, Yelena."
- I felt my blood freeze.
- The voice outside mechanically repeated the same words.
- The most terrifying thing was that the voice sounded exactly like Yelena.
- Yelena was dead! She couldn't be knocking at my door at midnight!
- I huddled under my blanket, trembling, unable to think of what to do. Suddenly, the voice at the door sounded delighted.
- "Oh, Samantha, you didn't lock the door. I'm coming in."
- I felt like I had fallen into an ice pit, my body froze.
- I forgot to lock the door today.
- Before I could curse my carelessness, the door creaked open.
- The moonlight from the window shone on the monster that was crawling into my room. It had Yelena's face but its body was a mass of mangled flesh and limbs. From the voluptuous breasts, it was clear this monster was female.
- I wanted to scream, but fear stopped me from doing that.
- I could see Yelena's face! This monster had Yelena's face!
- The monster didn't seem to notice my fear. It climbed onto Yelena's seat and started arranging the desk.
- It was doing everything that Yelena usually did when she returned to the dorm.
- Its flesh left disgusting and gruesome blood streaks on the desk.
- I lay frozen in bed, trembling.
- The monster finally noticed my odd behavior and turned to look at me.
- I only noticed that it looked gore, with an eyeball hanging out of the socket.
- However, the monster seemed to be unaware of its appearance. "Samantha, why are you staring at me? Do I look strange?" It asked.
