Chapter 21 The Real Culprit

• "What story?" I asked absentmindedly.
• "One day, a greedy human made a deal with a demon. After sealing the deal, the demon demanded souls as payment. But the human regretted it and pleaded desperately, begging to exchange something else. The demon finally agreed. The demon told the person that they could call three people and ask them to come immediately, but without revealing the reason. If any of the three agreed to come, the demon would accept a different payment. If none came, the person would be harvested for their soul."
