Chapter 278 The Briars

• Dagon’s portal opened into the main corridor of the Briar mansion. It wasn’t easy to reach the fortress by conventional means. It had a helipad for choppers, as well as one for fighter jets and drones.
• The Briar estate was perched on a secluded cliff overlooking a stormy sea. Rain lashed the windows, and thunder rumbled in the distance.
• Dagon was generally fearless, but the Briars creeped him out. He clutched a velvet pouch in one hand. Its contents were heavier than expected.
