Chapter 7 Seven

  • CHAPTER
  • SEVEN
  •
  •  “I am sorry, Nala” he whispers, and I am
  • shocked that he is apologizing. I smile, as I am happy he is doing this. I
  • suddenly feel like I can finally be happy. Don leans forward to kiss me. His
  • soft lips meet mine, and I smile against him. He moves his hand to my shoulder,
  • deepening the kiss. His hands find their way to my back as he caresses me
  • gently, never breaking the kiss. A moan escapes my mouth as he trails kisses
  • down my neck.
  •
  • Don
  • touches me, and I turn to face him, and my heart vigorously thumps against my
  • ribcage.
  •  “Oh, Don,” I moan his name, enjoying how my
  • body reacts to his with every touch of his lips. His kisses travel to my lush
  • breasts, and he deftly gets rid of my bra. Don smiles and circles the soft
  • mound of my boobs for a long time, and I think I will die from waiting. He
  • senses this and immediately closes his mouth around my hardened nipples. I moan
  • again, loudly this time, and grip his hair tighter. The unmistakable wetness
  • between my legs keeps increasing, and all I want is him deep inside of me. It
  • is like he knows exactly what I want. He moves his hand down my boobs and stops
  • right at the entrance of my pussy, where I am dripping for him. He parts my
  • legs with his strong hand, locates my clitoris, and begins to work his magic.
  • My eyes pop wide open from the intensity of the pleasure he is giving me, and
  • he responds by plunging one finger into me.
  • One
  • finger turns into two, and I shiver like a newborn fawn. I feel stretched in a
  • way I have never felt before, and the feeling is breathtaking and glorious. He
  • slowly introduces the third finger, and I climax almost immediately, and he
  • keeps working me into a frenzy of pure desire. I scream his name over and over
  • again, as I come.
  • “Oh my goodness!” I scream as I jerk
  • from my sleep, drenched in sweat.
  • Shit.
  • It was a dream.
  • I dreamt about Don having sex with me.
  • What have I gotten myself into, now?
  • I hurriedly go about my morning
  • routine, noticing Don’s absence on the bed. What do I expect? , he is obviously
  • not going to be around me. I am just his annoying young mate, given to him by
  • the moon goddess.
  • I put on a pair of shorts and a crop
  • top, throw my hair in a neat bun, and apply a little makeup. I grab my bag, and
  • bolt out of the room, and down the stairs. I have no clue how I’ll get to
  • school, but I know I’ll go. If Don didn’t want me to go anywhere, he would not
  • have arranged outing clothes for me.
  • I greet the maids in the kitchen, and
  • they all respond with smiles.
  • “Morning, miss. Breakfast?” Claire
  • asks, and I smile. The delicious smell of waffles fills the room and my mouth
  • waters in anticipation of a good breakfast. I am promptly served, and I enjoy
  • my waffles, as I chat with Claire and the other two maids.
  • At least, I won’t be lonely in this
  • place.
  • I thank all of them for the meal, and
  • get on my feet, contemplating a plan to get to school, when I hit a sturdy
  • wall. By the scent, I am positive it is Don.
  • “Where do you think you are going in
  • that outfit?” he bellows.
  • I glance at my clothes and find
  • nothing wrong with them.
  • “School,” I speak slowly and quietly,
  • so he won’t think I am rude. I do not want him to hit me. Hell, that is the
  • last thing I want.
  • ‘I don’t care. Go and change now!” he
  • orders, and I dash to my room, filled with dread.
  • “I change into jeans and a
  • long-sleeved top, hoping it will meet Don’s expectations. I walk slowly back
  • downstairs, and I don’t see him.
  • “I’ll be taking you to school, Miss.”
  • Someone says, and I nod as I enter the car. The drive to school is quiet, at
  • least I have some time to think. Soon, we pull up in the school driveway, and I
  • hop out. I thank the chauffeur and I leave.
  • The concerned faces of my best friends
  • greet me. I give each of them giant bear hugs.
  • “I have really missed you guys,” I
  • whisper and they smile.
  • “We also missed you” they chorus.
  • “Tell us about Don” This is from
  • Sheldon.
  • “Guys, it was hell…..” I start to
  • explain, but I am interrupted by the bell. I promise to tell them later, and I
  • speed off to my first class.
  • The day goes by normally, apart from the weird
  • and confused looks I get from classmates who know I am with Don. I thank
  • whoever is listening that they don’t know that he is my mate. I go for lunch
  • and sit with my friends.
  • “So, about Don…” they prompt.
  • “I really don’t know, guys, but he is
  • so mean. He makes me cry a lot. He scares me. I can’t believe he is my mate. “
  • I ramble on and on, and when I realize my mistake, it is too late.
  • “Your mate?” they all chorus,
  • apprehension clearly written on their faces.
  • “I am so sorry, Nala” Dash says, and I
  • smile tightly.
  • “I am fine, guys,” I say, not
  • believing the words myself.
  • “Are you sure?” Keiran asks, and I
  • nod. I don’t want them to start worrying about me. I think I can survive
  • whatever comes my way. At least, he hasn’t hit me, and that is a good sign.
  • “See you guys tomorrow, bye,” I say.
  • “Bye, we love you” I whisper, and as I
  • leave the cafeteria, I hope to see the car waiting to take me back home.
  • ‘Nala, I have looked everywhere for
  • you” Jordan’s voice knocks me out of my thoughts. What does he want? I am very
  • mad at him. I blame him for everything that is happening to me right now. If he
  • had not rejected me, I would not have a monster for a mate.
  • “What do you want?” I ask rudely, and
  • he gives a sad smile.
  • “I know I deserve this, and more, but
  • I regret the way I have treated you” he whispers, with a forlorn look in his
  • eyes.
  • “It is fine, Jordan, but t will take
  • more than sorry to fix this:” I retort, and he smiles again.
  • “I understand, Nala. Thank you” he sighs
  • and digs out a locket from his pocket.
  • “For you,” he says, handing it over to
  • me.
  • “You didn’t have to get me anything”
  • “I wanted to give you on your
  • birthday, but I was just hurt. I was afraid we were not going to be mates, and
  • I did something very stupid to hurt you” I grin, accept the locket, and put it
  • in my bag. The last thing I want is for Don to find it on me.
  • “Thanks, Nala. Bye,” he hugs me and
  • plants a kiss on my forehead. After Jordan leaves, I pace, hoping to see the
  • driver sent to pick me up, but I don’t.
  • “He’s here,” I hear my friends mutter
  • as they run towards me. I was hoping they would have left by now.
  • Really?
  • I feel my blood rush through my veins,
  • and anxiety kicks in. What if he knows about Jordan? What if he gets mad at me because
  • it took long for him to find me?
  • Oh,
  • goddess, what do I do?
  • “Nala. Nala. Nala!” I hear, as my
  • friends shake me.
  • “Are you okay?” Willow asks.
  • I assure them that I am fine, and I
  • jog to where Don is.
  • “What took you so long?” he spits.
  • “I…was…with my friends. I did not know
  • you were back. I swear. Please don’t hit me, at least not here.” I rush and
  • look up at him. The look on his face is confusing. I don’t know if he is hurt
  • or angry. I doubt he even has a heart.
  • He enters the car without saying a
  • word. He drives really fast, and I am scared for us both. He keeps mute until
  • we get home. He doesn’t even boss me around like he usually would. I hate to
  • admit it, but this silent treatment is killing me. Is he going to listen to me,
  • and then hit me here at home, because I asked him to hit me at school?
  • I change into my house clothes, and I
  • am about to have my siesta when he bursts into my room.
  • “Who is he?” he demands, and I move
  • further away from him. I am confused for a moment, then I remember my encounter
  • with Jordan. How did he know? Does he have a spy?
  • “It was…………………….errrrm…..” I stammer.
  • “I am listening to you, speak. Who the
  • hell is he?”
  • He asks repeatedly, and I know he is
  • enraged.
  • “I won’t talk to him again, I promise
  • you. I am sorry” I say, and huge drops of tears trickle down my face. I don’t
  • want him to hurt Jordan.
  • “You fucked the bastard, right? That
  • is why you smell like him!”
  • What?
  • “What? No, I would never do that. I
  • swear, Don, I am sorry” I say, not even knowing why I am apologizing. I am
  • terrified of him. Where is my mom when I need her the most? Living with him has
  • made me realize that the rumors are true.
  • He is really hot, rich, powerful, and
  • cruel. Very cruel.
  • “If I find out that you are lying to
  • me, I will…..fuck!” he screams, and I run into my closet, and I hurriedly shut
  • the door after me. A few seconds later, I hear him leave my room. I slowly
  • leave the closet, and I lock the door of my room. Claire brings me dinner, and
  • I refuse to eat. My heart is heavy.
  • I keep the locket tucked away, hidden
  • from sight, and I sleep in fear of him coming back.
