• Sure enough, after Xander finished his interview, word spread within the pack that he was going to hold a meeting in the evening to explain himself to the Council of Elders. With the future of the entire pack at stake, the meeting venue was already packed before noon. As the center of this event, I should have been nervous, but I wasn't.
• Looking at Xander's handsome yet indifferent face on my cell phone screen, I felt only a deep chill in my heart.
