• Selena's POV
• When I was attacked by the Rogues, my first thought wasn't panic. I knew I could never have attracted this much attention on my own; their targeting of the packhouse was clearly an attempt to threaten Xander by holding me hostage. What they didn't realize was that the relationship between Xander and me was already dead.
• When those vicious Rogues broke through the defense line, I felt no panic, only relief. Yet, deep down, I secretly hoped that Xander would arrive in the nick of time. So, when Xander did appear in front of me, I was filled with disbelief.
