Chapter 6

• She turned to him and said hesitating, “I cannot sleep without sleeping pills”
• Edward frowned and asked, “Since when you are having those pills?”
• Autumn looked down, feeling ashamed, and said almost murmuring, “From the time my parents were killed in front of my eyes, I couldn’t sleep, whenever I close my eyes everything that happened on that day comes in front of my eyes”
• Her eyes got teary remembering those horrible memories, Edward again said, “But you were too young to have sleeping pills”
• She replied calmly doctor always prescribed the dosage as per my age and now I cannot sleep without pills”
• Edward immediately took her in his arms and made her sit on his lap.
• He slowly started patting her back, and said, “You will not need those pills from now onwards”
• Autumn was about to say something but she felt so comfortable that she felt like she just wanted to sleep in this comfort.
• And just in a few minutes, she slept in his arms like a baby.
• Edward looked down and saw her sleeping peacefully.
• He gently made her sleep on the bed and hugged her tightly and slept.
• The next day, Autumn was first to wake up, she was surprised to see herself in Edward’s arms, he was sleeping holding her protectively.
• It felt like he was trying to protect her from all her worries.
• What surprised her more was she didn’t have nightmares, either of her parent’s death nor the person whose face she can’t see in her dreams.
• Who always takes care of her, she doesn’t remember when the last time she slept so peacefully was, and that too without pills.
• She tried to get but Edward said in a sleepy tone, “Baby, please sleep for some more time”
• He was dreaming about him and Samara.
• He pulled her close to him and said still sleeping, “Baby, you know you are my peace, please let me sleep for some more time holding you”
• Autumn was not sure whether he was talking to her or about another woman in his dreams.
• And the moment the thought of another woman beside him crossed her mind, her anger rose, she punched Edward in the stomach and said angrily, “whom are you talking to?”
• Edward woke up because of the pain but the moment he saw Autumn’s angry cute face he smiled but her question confused him.
• He asked, rubbing his eyes, “What are you talking about baby?”
• Autumn replied immediately like an angry wife, “To whom you were talking, whom do you want to hold and sleep? Huh?”
• Edward’s smile broadened, he again pulled her close to him and said, “I only have one women in my life and that is you”
• Autumn felt happy listening to him, he kissed her forehead and said, “Get ready we have to go somewhere”
• Autumn asked, “Where?”
• Edward replied, “You will know it soon, now get ready or we will be late we have a long day”
• Autumn understood that he would not tell her so she walked to the bathroom but just as she was about to enter the bathroom.
• She turned and asked, “I don’t have my clothes here”
• Edward gave a sweet smile and said, “You take bath first everything will be arranged”
• She nodded and entered the bathroom.
• After some time she came out and found two maids standing in the middle of the room waiting for her and her eyes fell on the dress on the bed.
• It was a very beautiful dress just as she likes, maids bowed to her and said “Mistress, we are here to help you get ready”
• Autumn nodded saying, “No..no it's not required and please call me Autumn I am not your Mistress”
• They both again bowed and said, “Sorry Mistress, but we have strict orders from Master”
• Autumn sighed helplessly, she wore the dress and the maids helped her to get ready.
• After some time Edward entered the room, both the maids bowed to him and left.
• Edward felt like he again fell in love with her, she looks like an angel from heaven.
• Edward walked to her and said, kissing her forehead, “Please never apply makeup, you look beautiful, they will be very proud to see you”.
• Autumn asked, “who will be proud?” and Edward again replied, “You will know it soon” irritating Autumn.
• They both walked downstairs, Mr. and Mrs. Walker felt very nice seeing them together, it felt like they were made for each other.
• All four had breakfast together and Zack took Mr. and Mrs. Walker to a car and Edward took Autumn to his car and they started their drive.
• Autumn was very busy adoring the beauty outside the window.
• Edward was feeling jealous as he was not getting her attention, he asked, “Why are you looking outside like you had never seen the world?”
• Autumn replied unknowingly, “Yes, I haven’t seen it from last ten years”
• Edward frowned and pulled her and made her sit on his lap and asked, “What do you mean?”
• Autumn replied holding back her tears, “Brother never allowed me to go outside, he said it’s not safe for me to go outside”
• Edward hugged her tightly and said, “Don’t worry baby, I will show you whole world”
• Autumn felt his words so promising that she also hugged him back, after the drive of one hour the car came to a stop.
• When Autumn looked outside she was startled, it was a cemetery. She looked at Edward with question marks all over her face.
• Edward held both her hands gently in his hands and said, “You wanted to see your parents on your eighteenth birthday right?”
• Autumn nodded, trying to hold back her tears. She doesn’t like to cry in front of anyone, but the mention of her parents was her weak point.
• The driver opened the door for them, Autumn got down from the car and Edward stood next to her and held her hand. He felt she was trying to hold her tears strongly.
• They started walking slowly, Mr. and Mrs. Walker were behind them, this was the first time they were going to see Autumn’s parents.
• Autumn didn’t even remember where her parent’s grave was.
