Chapter 7

• Edward took her directly in front of a grave, Autumn’s eyes fell on the graves, she saw two graves neatly cleaned and orchid flowers were already kept on their grave.
• Before Edward or anyone could say anything, Autumn fell on her knees and hugged her father’s grave, and started crying hysterically.
• Edwards squatted next to Autumn and patted her back, she was crying saying, “Mom, dad why did you leave me, I miss you so much, you could have taken me with you”
• Listening to her last statement, Edward pulled her in his arms and said while stroking her back, “Do you think your parents will be unhappy to see you in this condition?”
• Autumn nodded negatively but said in between her hiccups, “But I miss them, I am all alone in this world”
• Edward broke the hug and said sternly, “Today you said it, but don’t ever say this in future, I am here and I am your family”
• Autumn didn’t know what to reply, after some time she was stable with her emotions, she asked Edward, “Who cleaned my parent’s grave?”
• Edward replied proudly, “It is not only your parent’s grave; it’s my in-law’s grave also”
• Autumn felt like banging her head internally, this man is so full of himself, she didn’t even agree to marry him and he already started making relations.
• All of sudden Mrs. Walker said, “Autumn, you look exactly like your Mom” and everyone’s eyes fell to the tombstone where on one grave it was Autumn’s father’s smiling picture and on the other grave it was her mother’s smiling picture.
• All though they died long ago but their pictures were still very clear as if someone was cleaning the pictures regularly.
• Even Edward found it a little weird, but he didn’t think much about it.
• After looking at Autumn’s mother’s picture Edward smiled and said, “Indeed, you are copy of my mother-in-law, but your eyes color are just like my father-in-law forest green”
• Autumn felt very happy when it was mentioned that she looks like her mother and father.
• After some time they all returned, the moment they left the cemetery, a person appeared in front of the grave and said, “Finally I found her, from now onwards I will definitely protect her”
• Everyone settled down in their respective cars and started their drive back home.
• In the other car, Zack turned behind and said politely, “Mr. and Mrs. Walker I don’t know whether I should say this or not, but thank you so much for agreeing to this marriage.”
• “Believe me, I can assure you, your daughter will be happy with our President, please don’t think I am trying to put good words for him”
• “But believe me I had never seen him like this, I have been working for him from time he started taking up the business”
• “He never looked at any girl, he was always calm and only concentrated on his work”
• “Whenever his Mom asked about him having girlfriend, he just gave a small smile and said, ‘He is waiting for him wife’"
• “I don’t know I might sound crazy, but sometimes I feel like they are the couples made in heaven or they have some last life connection”
• “How come my President who never looked after any girl in twenty four years suddenly kissed a girl in front of everyone and proposed her for marriage in just two hours of meeting”
• Mr. and Mrs. Walker also felt the same, because they can see how much effort Edward made to make Autumn happy. He is a person who earns billions every minute but he was not bothered about it.
• After visiting the cemetery Autumn felt very close to Edward, she was unable to believe that she could feel so close to a person whom she met just a couple of days ago.
• She has never been this close to her brother Timothy also, although he takes care of her a lot but still, she always feels uncomfortable around him.
• She feels scared of her brother, a brother who came like a light in her dark world, who brought her back to the world when she felt like nothing was left in this world.
• Her brother did so much for her but still, she was always scared of him, she feels guilty about it but she can’t ditch her feelings.
• But when it comes to Edward she feels like she knows him for a very long time.
• She is free around him, she feels that she can breathe freely around him.
• What tempted her the most was Edward said that he will show her the world, only she knows how badly she wants to see the whole world.
• She had been in the house for ten years, her brother never even allowed her to go to school and he arranged a private tutor for her.
• He didn’t even allow her to visit her parent’s grave, saying that it is not safe, he also said that the killers of her parents are still looking for her as she was the eyewitness of their murder.
• This was the first time in ten years he went for such a long business trip and also to a remote location.
• Autumn somehow convinced her adoptive parents to come to NY and now she feels like it was a nice decision.
• While coming back Edward stopped at a luxury restaurant for lunch, and Autumn was looking at everything like she was not from earth. It was all new for her.
• Edward was enjoying her cute expressions but at the same time, he also felt hurt, she was almost eighteen years old now and she was almost caged for ten years.
• He was happy that in this life God had given him everything that he could to protect her, he only wanted to give a lot of happiness to Autumn.
• When Edward asked Autumn to order food he got to know that she likes spicy food, they were about to start when Autumn’s eyes fell on Zack who was standing behind but a little far from Edward.
• She looked at him and then at Edward and said in a little loud voice, “Mr. Zack, please don’t stand that far, come here and have lunch with us”
