Chapter 37

• A scent hits my nose and I know it's Mike. I scan the forest and my grip on Mira and Racheal instinctively tighten. Even though Mike is a friend, my wolf is very protective of my mate and child right now since Mira has just given birth. I growl when I hear something move in the bushes. My eyes turn red and my canines show. I feel Mira stir and I instantly snap out of it. My eyes go back to their usual blue and my canines are pulled back under my gums.
• I see a very naked Mike appear from behind the bush and he walks to me. I growl when he gets too close for my comfort. Mike throw his hands up in surrender and steps back. He knows how your wolf gets after your mate as given birth since he has two children already. He smiles at me and I relax just a bit.
• "Now I see why you wanted me to be quiet." He softly whispers.
