- Anaya’s breath caught in her throat. “What are you doing?” she gasped, stepping forward instinctively, her hand reaching out. Rajveer froze, eyes wide, his breath uneven.
- Alejandro continued walking toward them, his voice dangerously calm, the kind of calm that screamed louder than any rage.
- “You see, Rajveer,” he said softly, “I can’t return home empty-handed. Not after everything that happened. Not after the losses I suffered because of your carelessness. I have to recover it… one way or another.”
