- Finally, Matías broke the silence. “You should be pleased, hermano. The traitors are caught. Rajveer delivered everything you wanted on a silver plate. So why…” he paused, tilting his head, “why do you look like a man who’s just lost instead of won?”
- Alejandro’s eyes flickered up, sharp, dangerous. For a moment Matías wondered if he had pushed too far. But then he saw it—the truth. Behind that steel gaze was not anger at Rajveer, not even anger at the traitors. It was something heavier. Something personal.
- Matías leaned back against the table, crossing his arms, studying him with a smirk that masked his concern. “I’ve known you long enough to know when you’re unhappy, even if you don’t admit it. But this one? This one I can’t read. You came here for this, Alejandro. You wanted answers. You wanted the traitors’ heads. And now they’re yours. So why the long face?”
