Chapter 91 Broken
- Rina’s POV
- Every time I saw Levi with Clair and Aurora, a part of me softened. I tried—really tried—to keep the walls around my heart intact, but the way he looked at them, the way he held them like they were the most precious things in his world, made it impossible. He was patient with them, attentive to their every little need, as if making up for all the time he had lost. And it hurts. It hurt because I knew what it meant. Levi had changed. This was not the same man who had shattered me.
- But every time I felt myself faltering, my mind dragged me back to that moment—the last thing I saw before I ran away. Levi, standing in front of a crowd, introducing Mia as his wife and their son as his heir. The memory was burned into my mind, a wound that refused to heal no matter how much time passed. I remembered the way my heart had stopped, the way my breath had caught in my throat as the world crumbled around me. The humiliation, the betrayal—it was suffocating.
