Chapter 337 A Watch Worth Millions

  • Ronan Crest’s face stayed calm. But deep in his eyes, mockery and disdain flickered. You show off a watch worth millions in front of me? Don’t you feel embarrassed? You really think that’s something to flaunt? He couldn’t help it—half exasperated, half amused. “Heh.” At last, Ronan couldn’t hold back and actually let out a laugh. Hm? Hearing Ronan laugh, Yu Hui’s brows snapped together. Su Yu’s brows knit tight too. Heh? What’s that supposed to mean? In front of a watch priced at thirteen million, you dare scoff like it’s beneath you? How freaking bold are you? Both of them glared at Ronan in fury. The difference was, Yu Hui’s face was a lot more explosive—like a lion provoked past the breaking point. Su Yu was steadier. Whether it was because he was calculating or just his nature, he usually kept his emotions off his face, better at hiding himself. Yu Hui, though, was reckless to the bone. Happy meant happy, pissed meant pissed. It all showed on his face. He didn’t suppress anything. He did whatever he wanted. “Hmph!” He snorted coldly, then shouted, voice slicing sharp, “Screw you—what’s your deal, Crest? You saying my watch isn’t good? You piece of trash.” Yu Hui spat the words. “I never said your watch was trash. I’m saying flexing something worth that much in front of me… is hilarious. I’m laughing at you.” Ronan didn’t bother to sugarcoat it. Boom! Yu Hui blew up. Laugh at me? You think you have the right to laugh at me? He glared, eyes wide, staring Ronan down like he wanted to bite. Ronan moved like a ghost. Before Yu Hui could react, the watch was already out of Yu Hui’s hand and sitting in Ronan’s. “Huh?” “How did you—give it back!” He froze for two seconds, then came to, roaring at Ronan. What the hell just happened? Yu Hui’s outburst drew a lot of eyes. Su Yu’s earlier scream had already put a spotlight on them. Now with Yu Hui yelling so loud, everyone’s curiosity and hunger for drama flared. Every gaze swung their way, faces lit with that “show me the dirt” look. “Yu Hui, keep it down,” Su Yu hissed, desperate not to keep making a scene and become the talk of the room. I mean, this was a pissing contest over a girl. Not exactly something to be proud of. But— Reckless as he was, Yu Hui wasn’t hearing any of it. Before Su Yu finished, Yu Hui yelled again, voice blasted raw. “Crest, you better give my watch back right now!” “Who the hell do you think you are?” “That watch is worth thirteen mil. If you break it, you can’t afford it.” “Hmph. Actually, forget breaking it—if you so much as scratch the paint, trash like you couldn’t pay me back.” He barked, furious. His voice pulled every eye in the place. People kept looking over. “Yu Hui!” Su Yu felt his face burning. He grabbed Yu Hui, trying to shut him up. But— Just as he held Yu Hui back, Ronan’s next move made Yu Hui go nuclear—right there on the spot—completely losing it. Crack, crack… Ronan’s fingers tightened. Right in front of everyone, he crushed the watch worth over ten million—like it was nothing. Then— He tossed it to the floor and stomped down. The watch exploded into a mess of parts. Ruined. “Boom, boom, boom…” Seeing his beloved watch stomped to pieces, Yu Hui went off like a bomb. That watch— It could buy a few hundred square feet of property. In a second-tier city, it could buy a whole mansion. It could snag a top-tier sports car. But now— “You’re fucking dead!” Veins bulged across his forehead. He swung a fist straight at Ronan. Crack! “Ah—!” But the instant his fist flew, Ronan caught it and twisted. Bone snapped. Yu Hui screamed. His wrist— Bent into a nasty, crooked angle. Broken. “Ah—ah—my hand, my hand!” Yu Hui howled. He collapsed to the floor, face chalk-white, screaming like a pig at slaughter. “Y-You… you…” Su Yu hadn’t expected Ronan to go that hard. He sucked in a sharp breath, pupils tightening to pinpoints.
