• Their footsteps echoed down the stone tunnel, water splashing beneath their boots as they raced through the darkness. Amara clutched the orb tightly to her chest while Nathaniel led the way, his flashlight bouncing wildly with every stride. Behind them, the angry shouts of the Council’s enforcers grew louder.
• Lucas skidded around a corner, pulling Amara with him. “This way! There’s a maintenance hatch that leads to the train tunnels. If we get there, we can disappear.”
