Chapter 7

  • Aurora’s POV
  • My mind immediately went into denial, and I couldn't believe that I had unfortunately run into Tony Sopran.
  • My entire body froze in place as my heartbeat wildly in my chest. Tony Sopran approached me with an evil smirk on his ugly lips, and I was certain that he meant the worst kind of trouble.
  • "Just look what we have here," Tony Sopran said as he came to stand right in front of me. I instinctively took a step back to get away from him, but before I could, his hand had already snaked out at amazing speed to capture my right wrist and prevent my escape.
  • Unfortunately, it was clear that I wasn't the only one who recognized him, he recognized me as well.
  • His eyes traveled down my body, and I couldn't stop trembling beneath his intimidating gaze as I was reminded of how he tried to take me against my will all those years before.
  • My eyes shifted from Tony Sopran's face to the path that the boy had taken for his escape. It must have been my motherly instinct that drove me to save the boy and put his safety well before my own. I had always regretted the accident that took my baby’s life and the boy's escape became the only comfort that I had in that situation. It felt like what I was about to go through wouldn't be for naught because I managed to save him.
  • "Your face looks very familiar," Tony Sopran said teasingly as his hand captured my chin and tilted my face upwards so that I was forced to meet his intense stare.
  • "Oh, it's you, the poor pregnant woman." His devilishly hoarse voice came through, and I tensed up all over, "So you didn't die."
  • "Please don't hurt me," I began begging for his mercy when I realized that there was no chance of escape.
  • "I believe you and I have unfinished business that is long overdue. You managed to escape last time, but don't even dream that someone would come to save you this time,"
  • Tony Sopran whispered directly into my ear before letting out a loud laugh that echoed all around us.
  • "Even though your father has paid off the debt over the years, it seems you've become even more beautiful. What should I do about that?" As soon as he finished speaking, his men burst into laughter. They looked at me lecherously, and I felt a wave of nausea.
  • "Take her," Tony Sopran instructed his men without another word to me. I felt my arms being pulled behind my back, and then everything went dark when they placed a blindfold over my eyes and gagged my mouth.
  • ...
  • After an uncomfortable ride in the car, we arrived at an unknown place, and I was pushed down onto something soft.
  • One of the men took off my blindfold and ungagged me and I discovered that I was sitting on a bed in the middle of an empty warehouse. Tony Sopran's sneering face, filled with satisfaction, entered my field of vision, and I could only imagine the worst.
  • "Unfortunately for all of us, I don't have a lot of time on my hands today. That means that I have to make it quick if I want my guys to all have a turn with you," Tony Sopran said before letting out an amused laugh.
  • Terrifying memories of how he tried to take advantage of me came flooding back as if it happened just yesterday and I felt like I would rather die than relive those experiences again.
  • This time, it might be even worse for me. After all, miracles usually don't happen, let alone twice. My body moved purely out of instinct and the bed creaked beneath me as I raced to climb off of it.
  • "Where are you going?" Tony Sopran asked in a chillingly cold tone before I felt his hand gripping my upper arm.
  • It all happened so fast, and I found myself flung with full force back onto the bed. I let out a cry before I heard the bed creak beneath his weight as Tony Sopran climbed on top of me. I tried with all my might to push him away as my arms and legs flailed and my body struggled beneath his. Tony Sopran straddled my hips with ease before gesturing to his men with a casual motion of his hand for them to hold me down.
  • "Stop this! You bastard!" I cursed as I struggled to get him off of me. I felt both my wrists and ankles being pinned down as his men held me down as Tony Sopran’s eyes stared at me with unveiled lust.
  • "Curse one more time, and I’ll make you regret it," he warned me sternly before his lips curved into a smirk. His hand moved to my chest where he yanked on my shirt to strip me.
  • "No…please..." I begged in a small whimper.
  • "You have no idea how much your tears turn me on. Soon I'll make sure that you'll be begging for my cock and for me to pound your hole even faster," Tony Sopran said with absolute certainty as he pulled up my bra to reveal my naked breasts.
  • When I felt his revolting touch on my womanly mounds, the reality that I was about to be raped by Tony Sopran and his gang of men finally set in. I closed my eyes as I tried to shut everything out of my mind. Tony Sopran buried his face into the side of my neck while his hands massaged my breasts.
  • "Please don't do this," I begged in a broken voice as tears streamed down my cheeks.
  • "You won't be able to escape me this time," Tony Sopran sneered as his hands moved down my body to caress my hips.
  • I clenched my teeth tightly and kept my eyes closed as I felt him spreading my thighs and positioning his hips between them. When I heard the sound of him unbuckling his belt, I knew that there was no salvation waiting for me and that soon I would be taken by a monster.
  • I never felt so helpless in my life, and all I could do was pray that everything would be over soon.
  • As I braced myself physically and mentally to accept the worst, suddenly there were loud sounds that resembled gunshots.
  • "What was that?" Tony Sopran asked loudly as his attention seemed to shift away from me.
  • A short moment later, there was a loud booming sound, and when I opened my eyes, a group of well-armed men rushed into the warehouse.
  • "Put your hands behind your heads and get away from her right now," a cold voice instructed.
  • I heard Tony Sopran silently cursing before he retreated away from me. Although I was confused about what was happening, I quickly sat up on the bed while trying my best to cover my naked body.
  • "Shit! Why did the Herald family arrive so quickly?" Tony cursed. He hesitated, preparing to retreat with his men, but before he could act, a deafening gunshot rang out.
  • I closed my eyes and covered my ears. When I opened my eyes again, I saw Tony collapsing to the ground, unconscious, with a bloody hole in the back of his head, blood gushing out.
  • I clamped my hand over my mouth, desperately trying not to scream. I didn't dare hope that I was being saved, so when the mysterious man approached me, I found myself shrinking back in fear.
  • "I can't believe that we would meet again like this," he said, and I could feel his eyes on me. Hesitantly, I looked up to meet his gaze as his words caught my attention.
  • Next, I found myself staring into familiar sapphire blue eyes.
  • The man standing before me was the same one who let me go five years ago.
  • I could still hear the words he said when he released me,
  • "Woman, if I see you again, I'll kill you."
  • The way he looked at me told me that he also did not forget the promise that he made to kill me the next time we met. Back then, I honestly never thought that I would ever run into him again and definitely not like this.
  • Although in a twisted way, I ended up evading my gruesome fate at Tony Sopran's hands because of his intervention.
  • "So, five years have passed, and here I am seeing you again, clearly in a sorry state. Where is your husband?" he slowly asked.
  • "I, I'm still not married." I hesitated to say.
  • "That sounds good," he said lightly.
  • "If you’re going to kill me anyways, please just kill me," I said in a soft whisper while thinking that leaving the world without experiencing any more pain and abuse felt like the right way out at that moment.
  • "I am here to save you, not to kill you," he said to my utter surprise.
  • "I don't quite understand..." I murmured softly as my mind struggled to comprehend the true meaning behind his words.
  • "You saved my son's life, and now it's my turn to save yours," he said before his lips curved into a beautiful smile. I gasped in shock when I realized that the boy that I had saved was his son.
  • “What’s more, you saved my beloved son, I think I can offer something to you in gratitude.”
  • “ For instance?” I looked at him straight in the eyes, trying to gauge if he was serious.
  • "You can make requests."
  • "Money?" I asked.
  • " I think it would be too insulting to just give you money." he said coldly.
  • I howled in my heart: It's okay!!! Just insult me!!!!
  • The Herald family's status was too special and I just couldn't think of an appropriate request at the moment. Just as we were about to reach an impasse, he spoke up.
  • "Marry me."
  • I became completely lifeless for a second before coughing violently and almost choking on my own spit. "Cough cough cough......what did you say?"
  • "You obviously need a man who can protect you, and I... I just happen to need a wife," he said calmly, as if discussing what to eat today.
  • "Are you telling me that you want to return the favour with your body because I saved your son?"
  • He tilted his head slightly. After thinking for a moment, he nodded,
  • "You could put it that way."
