Chapter 4 A Gift for You
- The room was filled with a sense of tenderness.
- It took a while for everything to settle down.
- The yacht silently docked. An array of tall men stood on the shore. Typically, a prestigious family employed a large number of bodyguards. And these men were serving the Woods.
- Everyone stood silently, their expressions stern. No one spoke, not even in whispers. They had no idea what Leon was doing, but they dared not disturb him.
- They just stood there, listening to the waves crashing against the shore.
- As dawn approached, a door opened on the yacht, and a stunning woman emerged.
- She was wearing Leon's white shirt, and the length of the hem reached her thighs. Her chestnut hair flowed freely over her shoulders.
- She was strikingly beautiful, with an air of elegant nonchalance.
- The security guards watched as she walked ashore and approached them.
- They couldn't help but hold their breath.
- "Tell your boss that I'm leaving. Before I went, I left him a little gift. He shouldn't get too pleased with himself."
- The man on the bed lay motionlessly until his phone alarm jarred him awake.
- He opened his eyes. His dark pupils seemed to glow with intensity. Leon casually wrapped a towel around his waist and stepped into the bathroom.
- Inside, he didn't see Clara, but he did catch a glimpse of his own reflection in the mirror.
- Someone had drawn a large turtle on his face.
- Fine. If that's how she wants to play, he wouldn't mind bringing her back to settle the score.
- Leon's eyes darkened. He quickly washed his face, got dressed, and left the room.
- "Good morning, Mr. Wood." As he walked past, a row of tall men bowed respectfully.
- "Where is she?" Leon's voice was deep but steady, leaving his subordinates unsure of his implication.
- That woman had left, and it was unclear whether their boss was happy or upset.
- "She left around 5:30 this morning. Before leaving, she left behind a message," one of them replied.
- Leon's eyes lit up for a moment, but he quickly returned to his usual calm demeanour. He asked, "What did she say?"
- "She said she left you a little gift, and you shouldn't be too happy about it."
- The message made Leon's expression turn grim, and the subordinate who delivered it could feel sweat forming in his palms.
- Clearly, Leon was angry.
- "Fine!" Leon's voice was as cold as ice.
- ...
- Five years later, at the airport.
- Two adorable children stood at the airport's exit. Their cuteness captured everyone's heart.
- The little boy wore a blue denim pant and a cool cowboy hat with black sunglasses, giving him a dashing appearance.
- Next to him stood a little girl with rosy cheeks, wearing a ruffled princess dress and a small flower hat. Her large blue eyes sparkled as her golden hair flowed over her shoulders.
