Chapter 70

• Getting to his bus stop, Adrian alighted from the cab holding his crutches very close to him. He pushed his hand into his pocket, brought out some cash, and handed it over to the driver who collected it from him with a warm smile on his face.
• “Have a nice day sir,” the driver said excitedly and drove out speedily without waiting for his response. Adrian shook his head with a sigh and headed to the street that led to his small home.
• He entered his compound and went straight to his bedroom. He slumped hard on the bed putting the crutches beside him. He released an exasperated sigh. He was exhausted due to the work he did earlier on the pregnant woman.
