Chapter 125 (The Camera Flash)
- The atmosphere was awkward. Smart Matilda had snuck out of the house after a few bites, using her boyfriend as an excuse. Well, it wasn't that I didn't have tons of excuses to give; it's just that I didn't trust the idea of leaving him with Kai alone.
- We ate in silence; nothing was said. From time to time, I could feel Logan's hand brushing against me or his legs touching me. I tried hard to believe it wasn't intentional, but even with adjusting or shifting, he still indirectly shifted as well, meaning he knew what he was doing, and that had my jaw clenched. Ultimately, we finished, and I couldn't help the sigh of relief that left my lips. Although his food actually tasted good, it still surprised me.
- "Thank you, Dad and Mom!" Kai said with a yawn, obviously full. "And uncles." He added, and Bronson rubbed his hair gently.
