Chapter 15 Revealing Her Identity

  • "Hello, who are you?" Nian Xunxia, trained by the Yang family to remain calm in unexpected situations, smiled politely at the girl standing before her.
  • "I have met the real Miss Yang," the girl replied, lost in her own thoughts, without answering Nian Xunxia's question.
  • Nian Xunxia raised her guard and calmly observed the girl.
  • "Who are you?" she asked, her voice turning cold and stern.
  • "It doesn't matter who I am. What matters is how you plan to conceal this secret," the girl said, suddenly smirking and stepping closer to Nian Xunxia, locking eyes with her.
  • Nian Xunxia chuckled coldly. "There are many people with the surname Yang in this world. Even if I'm not the Miss Yang you know, so what?"
  • "But there is only one Miss Yang who is engaged to the Si family, and you happen to not be the daughter of the Yang family," the girl said, throwing out another statement that forced Nian Xunxia to look at her directly.
  • "As long as you give me one million, I promise not to reveal your true identity," the girl said, her eyes large and filled with countless emotions, making it hard to discern her true intentions.
  • In reality, she had only caught a glimpse of Miss Yang from a distance and had never truly interacted with her. But she was certain that the person in front of her was not the Miss Yang she had seen before; their auras were vastly different.
  • In her eyes, this woman had an even better temperament and seemed more like a true noblewoman.
  • But what did it matter?
  • All she knew was that she desperately needed money and had to seize this opportunity to deceive the woman in front of her.
  • If she succeeded, she would gain one million. If she failed, it wouldn't be a big deal.
  • "I am the lawful wife of Si Jincheng, the esteemed young master of the Si family. What identity do I need to hide?" Nian Xunxia raised her head slightly, a faint smirk playing on her lips.
  • Her heart was in turmoil, but her face remained calm.
  • She couldn't let her true identity be exposed, as it would give Si Jincheng a reason to divorce her, jeopardizing all the agreements with the Yang family!
  • "Little girl, if there's nothing else, I'll be on my way," she said, leaving a remark and walking towards the banquet hall, lifting her skirt.
  • The girl watched Nian Xunxia's composed figure and fell into contemplation. Could it be that she had made a mistake?
  • Just as she reached the entrance of the banquet hall, a dark figure loomed over her, and a chilly greeting reached her ears, "Where were you just now?"
  • Nian Xunxia's heart was still pounding, but she was startled by Si Jincheng's words, causing her to stumble in her high heels and fall to the side!
  • "Ah!"
  • Si Jincheng's pupils dilated in an instant, and his body quickly caught Nian Xunxia, spinning her around and leaning her against his arm.
  • Nian Xunxia tightly closed her eyes and, for a while, didn't feel the "intimate embrace" from the ground. She opened her eyes strangely.
  • The two locked eyes, and everything around them seemed to freeze in that moment.
  • Nian Xunxia blinked a few times, her eyelashes fluttering up and down with her movements, like butterfly wings dancing in a flower valley, vivid and beautiful.
  • Si Jincheng's brow furrowed with concern, and his sexy Adam's apple moved up and down.
  • "Madam Si, are you okay?" a concerned voice brought the two back to their senses.
  • Si Jincheng awkwardly let go of her hand, his gaze seemingly indifferent as he scanned Nian Xunxia's body. Seeing that she was unharmed, the tension in his heart also eased.
  • Nian Xunxia straightened her dress and then looked at the person who had just asked, a polite smile on her face instead of embarrassment. "Thank you for your concern, I'm fine."
  • With that small incident behind them, the banquet continued.
  • Si Jincheng touched the tip of his nose, his cold voice expressing concern. "Didn't I tell you not to wander off?"
