Chapter 35 Confusion Admidst Guilt

• With the speed of light, Bryan left his house and drove down to the garden where Miss Silvia had said they should meet. He anxiously got out of his car and looked around but couldn't find her in the busy garden, so he quickly brought out his phone from his pocket to dial her number. His heart was pounding immensely as his mind wasn’t settled on what the issue could be. He had never been this frightened all his life, and he prayed it wasn’t what he was thinking. He just hoped she hadn’t somehow heard the news from her dad, who was the police commissioner.
• He dialed her line a couple of times, and when she didn’t pick up, his anxiety grew—until he finally saw a lady in a blue gown, waving at him with a smile from a distance away. It was Silvia. He quickly approached her, preparing himself for the questions he was ready to answer, but with a smile on her face, she hugged him warmly.
• "You made it! I thought you wouldn’t come," she said happily.
