• Leonardo’s eyes darkened instantly. He didn’t answer—not with words. Instead, in one swift motion, he scooped her into his arms, claiming her mouth in a kiss that was all hunger and heat. Their lips moved in a wild rhythm, urgent and desperate.
• Still kissing her, he began walking purposefully toward the bedroom. Sofia wrapped her arms around his neck, clinging to him, breathless and melting into his embrace. He carried her with ease, as if she weighed nothing, and gently laid her down on the soft, luxurious bed.
