- Serria sat across from Costa, her fingers drumming lightly against the polished mahogany table. The yacht swayed gently with the waves, but inside the cabin, the tension was anything but calm.
- Costa studied her with the patience of a man who had played this game for a long time. “You agreed too quickly,” he noted, a smirk tugging at the corner of his lips. “That tells me you already have a plan.”
- Serria leaned forward slightly, her voice cool and measured. “I don’t walk into battles blind. You say the Syndicate is watching me? Good. Let’s give them something to be afraid of.”
