Chapter 14
- The car pulled into the old train yard just after nine. Rusted boxcars lined the tracks like dead soldiers. The only light came from a single flickering bulb above a boarded-up warehouse. Luca was already inside, pacing.
- Leo killed the engine. For a moment neither he nor Kai moved.
- Kai turned to him in the dark. His voice was low. “We have three hours until midnight.”
