Chapter 12 Hiding From The Devil

  • “What's he doing here?” Kon frowned.
  • “That's my exact question. What's he doing here?” Lin folded his arms.
  • All around them, the students were screaming, admiring the devil who wasn't after them.
  • He only came here to take his feisty boy home.
  • “Sir, he's here.” Scorpion, who was the first to notice Kon whispered to the devil.
  • “Where is he?” The devil asked. He glanced around the place until his eyes landed on Kon.
  • Without a word, the devil started for where Kon was.
  • “He's coming this way!” The girls squealed, alerting Kon of the Devil's presence.
  • “Let's leave.” Kon took Lin's hand and started dragging him towards the School's gate.
  • The devil's eyes darkened at the sight of his boy touching another.
  • He flicked his fingers, and three of his men blocked Kon's path.
  • “Leave!” Kon growled at them.
  • Unlike Lin, who was shaking in his bones at the sight of the mafia men, Kon was fearless.
  • “Aren't you feisty, my boy?” The devil asked, prompting Kon to turn to face him.
  • “Tell your boys or whatever the hell they are to get out of my fucking way!” Kon shouted.
  • His words caused Lin, and the students present, to gasp.
  • They all knew who the devil was, and what he was capable of doing.
  • The devil smirked, “you don't seem to learn, do you?” He closed the distance between him and Kon, “you don't get to reply to me anyhow you want, Kon. You are now my property.”
  • “Not if I can pay before the two days expire.” Kon grimaced, knowing there was no way he could pay that huge sum of money within two days.
  • It's not possible.
  • The devil's smirk became more pronounced, “you don't have to act all high and mighty when you know you can't pay it off. Admit you can't do that, and I will—”
  • “I can do that!” Kon tightened his hold on Lin's shaking hand, “I will prove you wrong, devil.”
  • Everyone present, watched with batted breath, each already anticipating what will happen next.
  • The devil's men stood to the side and watched their master without saying a word.
  • Before they left the house, the Devil warned them not to interfere, and that's what they are doing.
  • “And how will you do that?” The devil's jaw ticked as his eyes went to Kon's hand that was holding Lin.
  • He wanted so badly to slap the boy's hand off Kon's, but he held the urge.
  • “You don't need to know.”
  • “Stop being hard on yourself.” The devil gently touched Kon's checks, “you don't have to—”
  • “Never lay your filthy hands on my cheeks!” Kon slapped his hand off his cheeks.
  • A shocked gasp escaped the mouth of the onlooker.
  • Lin shivered, silently praying for the ground to open and swallow him.
  • Everyone watched with batted breaths, to know what the devil will do to Kon.
  • “I will pay you back within the remaining day and a half left. Don't come looking for me again!” Kon tugged on Lin's hand, let's go.
  • Without a glance at the devil, he left, with Lin shakily trying to keep up with Kon's long strides.
  • “Master, should—”
  • The devil waved them off.
  • His face was an expressionless mask. It masked the anger the devil felt at being defiled by a boy who wasn't worth the amount he spent on him.
  • Yet, the devil can't help the way he was reacting to the boy.
  • It was way beyond his control, and confusing as hell.
  • Scorpion and the others had the students vacate the school ground, while their master stood in the same spot he was in when Kon left, with his face an expression mask.
  • “I must make you mine, Kon. And when I do, I will have you screaming my name at the top of your lungs every minute of the day.” The devil licked his lips, already imagining what he will do to Kon's poor body.
  • *******
  • Kon sneakily left his house.
  • It has been three days since the devil came to his school, and he's yet to earn one-tenth of the money.
  • All the loan sharks he visited, refused to give him an audience not to talk of lending him such a huge amount of money.
  • His mother has left with the money the Devil compensated her with. And none of his friends has that huge sum of money.
  • That's why Kon is currently hiding from the mafia devil and his men.
  • He knew they will definitely come for him, that's why he was trying to hide from them.
  • Kon glanced to the left and right sides of the road to make sure there was no one around before he hastily crossed the road to the other side.
  • He took a deep breath as he checked once more.
  • His heart was beating so wildly, it sounded like a pestle hitting on a mortar.
  • He hastily walked through the alleys until he got to the park.
  • All he needed was to cross the park, to get to his working place.
  • He quit working in the bar yesterday, for fear the devil might look for him now.
  • Right now, he's babysitting for a woman he met yesterday during his sneaky job searching.
  • Kon glanced around once more to make certain the coast was clear before he crossed to the park.
  • Busy looking back, he didn't notice the two men sneaking up on him until it was too late.
  • The two men, caught him before he could react.
  • One of them held his legs and caused Kon to fall to the floor.
  • Kon tried to rise, but the other one held Kon's hands back and pressed a cloth on Kon's nose.
  • While the other held his legs to stop his thrashing.
  • Kon was violent.
  • He struggled to get himself off the men's hold, but they were stronger than him.
  • It was as if he were fighting a pillar.
  • “Let go of me!” Kon's shouts were muffled and only came out as babbling.
  • Yet, it didn't stop him.
  • He thrashed, hoping to get the man behind him, off him.
  • However, he didn't get to struggle for long before the drug he inhaled, kicked off, sending him to a land of forced slumber.
