• "I am sorry for the trouble my sister caused." I heard Alexei plead. He got up from his seat and knelt before Nikolai. Nikolai looked amused at how Alexei was behaving.
• I didn't know if I should beg Alexei to stand up that it wasn't necessary or if I should join him on the floor. How Nikolai's mind worked was beyond my comprehension. I was pushed into a dilemma on how to act that would not piss him off.
