• **SCARLET'S POV**
• When I opened my eyes, I was on my bed in my room. I groaned heavily as the lights from the window blinded my vision slightly. My head was fuzzy with pain, and every movement sent sharp waves of pain through my body.
• It felt like the entire world had just come crashing on me, my breath catching in my throat as if each exhale amplified the pain. I tried to get up, but a searing pain shot up from my chest, spreading through my body like fire.
