• The great hall of the castle instantly filled with murmurs as the council members settled into their seats. The towering pillars cast long shadows under the glow of the light coming from the eligant chandelier hanging from the ceiling.
• I sat quietly sat at the head of the massive table, my piercing golden eyes scanned the room with quiet authority. My trusted beta, Serio, stood beside me, his muscular frame seemed to tense with anticipation.
