- He walked towards me, and every step he took threatened to destroy my composure. I turned and saw Greta and my father, Nevio, smiling happily. They were probably happy because I was so naive and stupid to have saved their lives instead of mine. I clenched my fist angrily and held back the tears as I sniffed.
- I felt the urge to run for my dear life, but I could not; they were all looking at me. Men with guns were on standby inside and outside of the church, and I could tell they didn't fear God at all and would shoot me if I tried anything funny.
