- She had this look I saw in Kate's eyes when she jumped into the sea that cold night. It was a look of intensity, fear, and determination, not for something good but for death. At the thought of Kate, cold air ran through my body and I froze for a few seconds before quickly pushing the thought out of my mind.
- However, I knew I wasn't wrong. I could never be wrong; she was probably thinking of how she could kill herself. Her hands moved slowly towards her neatly arranged blonde hair, and her big blue eyes fixed on the priest as if she were trying to tell him to pray for her. For a while, I thought she wanted to kill him and not herself.
