Chapter 3
- -Hades
- "The Darrel's are quite thrilled to have you. After all, we have been avoiding their deals for a long while. Are you even ready to throw your money for your blind stalking?"
- Hunters muttered to me angrily, his voice dripping with concern. I knew that I was taking everything too far but I needed Lexi at any cost. It was hard to see her these days as she was busy at home, taking online classes.
- I replied, catching a glimpse of her at the table,
- "I am here for her, my precious gem. Others can go fuck themselves."
- She was sitting with her sisters, laughing so heartily. I knew that she was doing well in that household recently.
- She wore a red dress today. The tight fit her curves perfectly. I was dying to run my hands over her bare skin.
- Lexi's eyes met mine, and a smirk forming on her painted her as if she knew that I was there for her. Hunters chuckled, eyeing the girls, "They are beautiful. I wonder why Margery isn't married yet?"
- It was none of my business. My eyes were only for her. I watched her as her father suddenly appeared in front of them and gripped Lexi by her arms. She winced in pain but didn't do anything in front of others. I wished that I could put bullets into Jack's head. But I knew that Lexi loved her father just like other girls.
- I followed them into the corridor and overheard the conversation. His father was more likely commanded after snatching her purse.
- "I told you. I need fifty million. Where's the money?"
- Lexi replied coldly, taking her purse back.
- "I have no money. Why should I give my money to you? Do you think of me as a credit card?"
- His father snorted, cornering her, "I have raised you, you little piece of shit. You are married here for money. Give me that."
- Lexi replied in a trembling voice, her little piece of information swelling my heart in pain, "Everything is about money. Even if you sold our mother for money, isn't it true, father?"
- Jack shouted and raised his hand to hit her. I grasped it in the middle of the air, the tension beginning to thicken in the atmosphere. I warned, watching Jacks turning pale in fear.
- "Watch what you are doing, Jacks. You don't want to lose your hand, right?"
- Jacks retorted, casting me a hateful glare, "It's none of your business. She is MY DAUGHTER!"
- I threatened, smirking arrogantly, "Do you want to lose your latest club, right?"
- He understood the meaning and let go of the matter. He was doing illegal business down there. The cops were yet to find it and shut it off.
- Lexi stumbled over her feet as soon as her father left the place. I got her by arms, her words coming out incoherent.
- "Ha-Hades...I’m not feeling well… It's…too hot… here..."
- I carried her to my car and closed the door. One glass of whiskey could never turn her drunk. I was wondering on our way home what happened in the event.
- Lexi was groaning and giggling all the time as I brought her to my room. She pushed her clothes down, her cleavages popping up.
- "Hades... It's too hot...here..."
- She was sweating as if she was bathed in. I understood the hint and called Hunters.
- "Find me the fucking Waiter! He has drugged her drink."
- After I changed her clothes, Hunters texted me, his concern for Margery left me chuckling.
- Hunters: That fucker has drugged all their drinks. Even Margery is drugged. Should I cut his balls off?
- Hades: No, bring him to me. His balls are mine to cut off.
- One hour later, I went to our underground room to see the fucker. Hands tied, Hunterss did kidnap him mercilessly. I asked the guy, playing with the gun in my hand.
- "Who sent you? The quicker you answer, it will be the easier death for you."
- He stuttered, her replying betraying the confidence.
- "No...no one! I just wanted to taste them…"
- Hunters shot a punch at his face, one of his teeth falling off. I pressured, pointing the gun to his heart, "I hate liars! The quicker you say..."
- He blurted out, his eyes watering in fear, "The Russians! They…are coming for you, Hades. They’re s-..."
- I shot a few times and he was left dead on the spot. I wouldn't allow anyone to touch what was mine. I ordered Hunterss after looking at Margery unconscious on the sofa, "Clean the mess and keep the girl safe. Or else I will shoot you more than him."
- Hunters replied with sincerity, his tone sounding concerned, "I will save her with my life."
- I went back to Lexi to check on her. She was suffering in pain in the bed. The drug would be torturous for her until the effect was gone. I sat beside her, gently patting her head. There was a tenderness inside me that I didn’t know existed, something she brought out, something I didn’t fully understand.
- She kept pushing at her clothes, her bare skin igniting a desire deep inside me. "Ha... Hades... kiss... me... it’s so hot... everywhere..."
- I tried to soothe her, staying by her side until she finally fell into a restless sleep, her grip on my hand tight.
- I always knew she was something I couldn’t understand. Just a look from her could send me to my knees. Something grown men couldn’t do with knife guns or any kind of weapon. But yet she can make me break with just a touch.
- A look. A word. I never met a woman who had such control over me, and the truth was, she didn’t even know it. She had no idea how easily she could make me do anything if she just asked.
- I dragged the chair from beside the nightstand, sitting down, letting her hold my hand.
- I want to be everything she wants. As I watch her sleep, my mind secretly revels in this moment of tenderness, aware of its impermanence.
- “You won’t remember any of this tomorrow, carissma.”
- Then her peaceful sleep shattered.
- “No… don’t… don’t kill him… no… mom… no… father…”
- Lexi’s voice broke through the quiet, her body jerking as she screamed. Her face twisted in pain and horror.
- I narrowed my eyes, trying to make sense of her incoherent words. I had never heard of her past, but the nightmares she was reliving. There had to be something terrible hidden deep within her.
- What was it?
- Why had I never heard of it?
