• I peel my eyes open and stare at the ceiling. It’s light outside, which means I slept.
• Last night comes crashing down on me. Zade saw me at my worst. He held me through my sobbing cries. He walked me through my panic attack. Or maybe he ran me through it. Because of all the times Margery tried to help me through one, it took her hours, something that only took Zade mere minutes to get me through. Even then, most of the time I’m so worked up and afraid to close my eyes again. Yet, I slept. The rest of the night.
