Chapter 66 Playing Each Other
- Evelyn let out a shaky breath and picked up the hairdryer. She was halfway through drying her hair when the doorbell rang. Standing in the hallway was Dominic, clutching a bag of fresh clothes. He looked at Evelyn in her bathrobe, then glanced toward the sound of running water in the suite.
- "President...?" Dominic stammered, his eyes wide with a mix of confusion and "I-knew-it" realization.
- Evelyn didn't say anything to Dominic. She snatched the shopping bag from his hands, her face flushed with a mix of embarrassment and lingering adrenaline. "He's not in!" she snapped at the assistant, whose face was a map of barely-concealed gossip. She slammed the suite door in his face before he could utter a word of "ambiguous" commentary.
