• CHAPTER TWENTY-SIX.
• “I have an important meeting to attend at the office, I can’t go with you to the hospital for your check up. Let me know what the doctor says.” Jamal’s words rang in Adele’s mind as she sat in the doctor’s office.
• The previous night, they had been cool. They took a warm bath together, ate dinner together and Jamal cuddled her in his arms all night. He seemed very happy about the fact that she was pregnant. She had thought that was the beginning of him fixing things like he had promised, but that didn’t seem to be the case. He had quickly dismissed her request to have him accompany her to the hospital that morning.
