Chapter 8 Engaged?

• "If you want a place to stay at for the night, we have rented apartment also. You can rent. We'll be grateful if you avail it." Ms. Laira said softly. She is really grateful that they already have a customers. Aira and Airis look at each other and that look didn't escape the eyes of Gael.
• Looking at it, he have some thought in his mind. He immediately stomped the foot of Caven that is under the table, secretly. The latter, of course, cried in pain.
• "Ouch!" Everyone look at him while arching their brows, waiting for him to speak. Caven scratch his nape in embarrassment.
• "Mr, is there any problem?" Airis asked as she look under the table but she notice nothing.
• "Ahm..." Once again, Gael stomped his foot secretly and Caven need to endure it. He doesn't have any idea why his boss torturing him.
• "Ma'am, I think we need to look for a hotel before..." Before Andy could even finish her words, they heard Caven again.
• "Ah..." Gael put a heavy weight on his foot and with that Caven already know why his boss doing that to him.
• "Tsk, asshole, what's your real problem,huh?" Andy asked, annoyed.
• "I think...I think we will stay here for the night. Since we already found an apartment, why don't we grab it, right Gael?" He then look to his aloof boss who just nodded as if nothing happened.
• "Yeah, we'll stay." Caven sigh in relief when he figured out what his boss wanted.
• 'My foot hurts. If he wanted to stay, he could suggest it by himself' he said to himself grumpily. If Gael heard him say that, he will beat his ass.
• After they finished eating, Airis and Josh left. Aira wanted to help them wash the dishes but her Mother told her to accompany her to their rented apartment. While walking towards the Apartment, the others looked around and saw that the place they had chosen was not that small. They thought at first that they only had a small eatery house but they didn't expect that when they entered a little more it would open up to them.
• Aira sighed when she saw the tiredness on her mother's face while she was speaking, so even though she was a bit shy, she immediately approached her before patting her shoulder.
• She said, "mom, rest now. Shall I take care of this?"
• "Are you sure?" Aira immediately gave her mother a sweet smile and a slight nod.
• "You need to rest, ma."
• "I'll go ahead of you, sweetheart. Just let me know."
• Aira immediately faced Gael before explaining whatever was in the apartment. Each row, it consists of three rooms. So, basically, there are nine rooms in the apartment.
• "May I know how many rooms will you avail? There are three shared rooms and inside of it—there are two beds and which floor?"
• Raven said to his boss, "I think it's better if we started looking for a room in the second floor, don't you agree guys?" He then took a glance to Gael to asked for a permission. Although, it's good in the first floor, Raven wanted to see a beautiful view.
• "I agreed. Me and Andy will share a bedroom since we are siblings. After all, we wouldn't share the same bed so it's okay if we stay in one room."
• "I will stay with my brother too." Caven said as he put his arms on his brother's shoulder but Raven dodged but he didn't refuse the idea of sharing a room with his brother. Isaac and Jim look at each other, they both have the idea of separating a room. Jim is so loud when he is snoring and same as goes with Isaac. They both think that way but they didn't know that themselves are so loud when snoring that's also the reason why the two twins agree to be their own twin. All of them knows that they couldn't decided whether they want a room for themselves because their boss is not insisting.
• Before could Jim and Isaac complained to their boss, Gael already speak.
• "Then, you guys can occupy the rooms in the second floor. I'll take the third floor." He then look to Aira who felt his gaze but choose not to look at him in the eyes. Gael said, "please, accompanied us to each room."
• Aira widened her eyes and wanted to refuse but she controlled herself. She doesn't want to be involve with Gael again so that's why she's pretending not to know him and if she refuse to accompany him to the third floor, he might got suspicious to his identity.
• Truth to be told, Gael is already suspicious the moment they met each other. He saw how Aira's body stiffened and he knows to himself that Aira know him. If she is really pretending, Gael have an idea why she is doing that. He hurt her because he couldn't reciprocate her love and he think that he cannot still do it. He knows to himself that he has still feelings for Zoey and if he doesn't have anymore feelings to her, Gael is not looking for love again. Love already cause him to much pain and he didn't want to try it anymore. He doesn't want to hurt Aira again, the woman whom he trusted and his best friend. In addition to that, if he have developed feelings for Aira, it's not allowed since in his eyes, Aira and the guy from earlier has some relationship with each other.
• Aira is done accompanying the people to their room in the second floor. She and Gael is the only person left and they already going up to the third floor. Gael wanted to hold her wrist but he stopped himself from doing so.
• "Nics..."
• Before he could even finish his words, they heard a voice from their back. Both of them turn around and they see Airis on the end of the stairs that is connected to second and third.
• "Airis? What are you doing here?"
• Airis who were worried for her sister became impatient and immediately went to her sister when she found that her mother went to sleep. She is worried for Aira because she knows her past and how her sister suffered from all the pain from someone who didn't know how to reciprocate her feelings. She knows Gael because aside from Aira, Gael is also close to Airis.
• Airis went to the two and said to her sister.
• "Why don't you go to the kids and mom? You're also tired. I'll accompany our customer instead?" Aira felt quiet for the meantime. She knows why her sister suggested it. She wanted to refuse but since she saw her sister effort, she agreed.
• "Okay." She then look to Gael and said, "Mr. I hope you don't mind that my sister will accompany you instead of me."
• "I didn't mind. I want to rest." Both sisters look at each other before Aira went down.
• "Please follow me, Mr. Gozon." Airis still remember the surname of Gael. Little did she know that it's not his real surname. When they went to one of their room, she opened it and look to Gael. "Is this okay with you?"
• "Airis, can't you talk to me that way. We both know that you know me. Don't deny it." Airis cleared her throat and look to Gael before finally speaking.
• "Okay then, Gael. As a big sister for you and Aira, I just want you to know that I hope you wouldn't bother Aira during your stay here, please."
• Gael knitted his brows, "why not? Airis, you know that we are friends and I want to know why she left without—"
• "Do I still needed to answer that? You know the answer. Gael, after you and your companions leave tomorrow—I hope you wouldn't bother Aira less contact her."
• "That's unfair, Airis. We will stay here since there is no hotel who wanted us to stay. I will talk to Aira whether you like it or not."
• "Gael, can't you understand? Of course you wouldn't understand since you don't know anything. Gael, Aira suffered from the pain you caused although it's not your fault at all but she suffered. After that night, Aira went drinking and drive her motor with drunken state and because of that, she got into an accident that caused her to have an amnesia. She can't remember you, although she remember your face—she doesn't know a thing about your memories together."
• Gael stiffened because of what he heard.
• "Is..that true?"
• "Do I look like I am lying? If you think I am lying, you can ask your wife." She then turn around but before she finally walk out, she glance over her shoulder to look at Gael who still processing what he heard. "Please don't bother her anymore because she is already happy. Gael you already have a wife and my sister is already engaged. Don't give her a false feelings again."
• "E..Engaged? She is...engaged?" Gael asked but Airis already walk out without answering his question. The moment Airis arrive at the first floor, she sigh a relief because it looks like Gael believe her. After all, what Airis said were true. Aira got into an accident and couldn't remember a thing in the whole week but it's a relief that she remember again so basically, Aira remember Gael since it's just a temporary amnesia. Aira tell her earlier that she is shock to see Gael and pretended to not know him that's why Airis make a story too. She needed to remind Gael his place because he has a wife and Aira is already engaged. Airis doesn't have any idea that Gael is already divorced.
