Chapter 28 The Innocent's Arrest

• Ximena's POV
• I was in the shower when I heard a loud crash. What could be causing that? I ignored it and finished up. But then, I heard someone call my name.
• Rushing out of the bathroom, I quickly grabbed my clothes from the closet. Then I heard Harper yelling my name. I hurriedly pulled on my gown and dashed out, only to hear something tumbling down the stairs. My curiosity got the better of me, and I rushed to the staircase, only to see Harper's faint figure lying at the bottom. My heart leaped into my throat, and I let out a terrified scream.
