Chapter 65

  • The confession post was actually my doing, along with the viral one about Veronica’s background. This time, the post spreading was about Yasmin’s life at the hands of Veronica. Of course, I didn’t mention any names, and given how viral my posts had gone, it was impossible that Veronica hadn’t seen them by now. I was certain she was getting anxious, flustered, and scared as the truth slowly came to light—even though I never mentioned her by name.
  • "But I still can’t believe she’d kidnap a friend’s child just because she lost her own? And then have the nerve to marry her friend's boyfriend just to get back at her for the arranged marriage with a man who never even wanted her in the first place? People are really scary these days. They seem nice, but they’re full of hidden malice," Miles added.
  • People were speculating all sorts of things. Some said the viral post might not be true, that I was just making up stories for clout since I hadn’t shown any evidence. What they didn’t know was that I was going to drop a hint later on, and through that, they’d figure out exactly who I was talking about, without needing to drag any names. I wouldn’t mention Veronica’s name, but I’d make sure people recognized her.
