Chapter 47

  • “I stink”
  • Dante muttered as he rushed into his hotel room. Every part of his body ached. His Bespoke suit, his Docle & Gabbana shirt , including his Testoni shoes, they were ruined and only fit to be thrown out. Thank God he had removed his Rolex before he started digging on the animal dung. Not that it would have pained him to throw it out too. The satisfaction he got from the work was worth every of his ruined cloth. They were expensive but money was never a problem for him. He was sure that if Ugo had any idea how much they cost, she’ll probably lecture him for wasting them. It wasn’t a waste though, he felt good with what he accomplished.
  • It was true he had never done such a manual job of shoveling decayed hay mixed with animal dung before, yet it was fulfilling to watch sweat stream down his body. He’d been on it for the past two hours and it amazed him that he didn’t feel tired in the least, he felt energized instead. What amazed him most was the little boy; his attitude to work was worthy of emulation. True, he hadn’t done any shoveling, but he had kept at his own work which was picking up metals and nylons that had gotten mixed with the hay.
