• The faint scent of old books and polished wood filled my nostrils as I wandered deeper into the rows of shelves, trailing my fingers along their spines. My gaze settled on a particular section marked ‘Mythology and Legends’. Though most of the titles appeared to be about general supernatural history, one caught my eye: ‘The Origins of the Lycanthrope’.
