• Alpha Damon went straight to Monica’s room; he pushed the door open and walked in to meet her crying on the bed. She had buried her face in the pillow, letting it absorb her tears.
• He didn’t know what to do at that moment; was he supposed to console her? Was he supposed to apologize for what he had done to her? But he wasn’t completely at fault here. Her parents had been the first to ruin his life, he had only done what he did as a revenge.
• He just stood there, staring at her quietly. Even though he hated to admit it to himself, he felt sorry for her; this was so unlike him. What was happening to him? What exactly had she done to him, to make him behave this way? That replaced his stone heart with a new soft one? Her presence in his life was changing him a lot and he couldn’t deny it?
