  • Judith sighed, throwing an arm casually over my shoulder while steering me toward her house. “I've run into that priest before,” she said. “He's a despicable man, utterly ruthless. He uses all sorts of underhanded methods to hurt others. Years ago, I had the misfortune of crossing paths with him. I should've dealt with him back then, but I let him slip away. I never thought he'd show his face again, let alone stir up trouble like this.”
